How to use positive behavior strategies to move

"From CHAOS To CALM"

A workshop with Bette Alkazian and guest Brandie Rosen, Special Education Consultant

  • Do you ever feel like what your child’s needs are outside your “area of expertise as a parent?”
  • Do the behaviors you deal with at home seem to be more intense and disruptive than other parents deal with?
  • Is the school sharing concern they have for your child?
  • Do you wonder if you are doing enough and what “enough” even looks like?
  • Are you concerned that your child may have some special needs that aren’t being addressed?
  • Do you feel like you just don’t know what to do or where to turn?

Well- you don’t have to do this alone! We can walk you through the confusing and overwhelming maze of special needs and “outside the box” behaviors. You will leave this talk with all of your questions answered and a clear plan for moving forward!

You will learn:
  • What “red flag” behaviors to look for
  • What special education is and what it isn’t
  • Easy interventions to put in place at home to ease the chaos
  • Checklists and cheat sheets to share with teachers to make small changes that can bring big change to your child’s success in the classroom.
  • Resources that are available to help support you at home
  • Everything IEP/504 related that you need to help you walk through the school doors an expert!
