Happy Summer, my friends!!
School is out (or almost!) and I’m hearing a variety of feelings about it. Some people are so happy about the freedom that comes with summer; no homework, no getting up early, staying up later because there are more hours of daylight to enjoy, the swimming, the BBQ’s and so much more!
Other parents are worried about how much screen time their kids are going to be having, the sibling squabbles (or “too much love in the house” as my friend calls it, and the boredom and anxiety of no structure or just the changes that come with the end of the school year and the onset of summer break from school. New camps = new reasons to be anxious!
So, this newsletter is for you, moms, dads and caregivers! This is your Permission Slip to make sure to take time for you. Self-care is essential and hopefully the summer allows just a little more time for “me time”.
What are you hoping to accomplish this summer? What do you want to do just for YOU? What summertime anxieties do you have and what can we do to alleviate that anxiety? I’m happy to be your accountability partner, your cheerleader and your biggest fan!!
With love,
Bette
