Happy Holidays, Everyone! Or are they?…
The holidays are a bittersweet time for many. In Hallmark movies (Lord, I love those movies!) it is a magical, love-filled, cookie-filled time of year where love is in the air and nothing could go wrong. Life isn’t exactly a Hallmark movie…I know I don’t have to tell you that!
For many, the holidays are a difficult time. For those who have lost family members, those who are estranged from family, those who don’t have their kids on the holidays, those who have recently had a break-up and so much more, the holidays can be a painful and dreadful time of year. Many in my community are experiencing loss from fires and some post-traumatic stress from fires and the Borderline shooting last year.
Though we share our holiday good wishes, we also need to be mindful of those who may have an ache in their heart during this time. Be warm, be sensitive and give of your time, your money and your love this season.
Wishing you all the best possible holiday season!
Warmly,
Bette
